MEET YOUR THERAPIST

Hello, my name is Samantha Cook- Marriage and Family Therapist. MFTC and owner of Honeycomb Marriage and Family Counseling. 

 

Purpose of Therapy

Therapy can be a very vulnerable space and I am here to help you identify and express your authentic self.

 

Sharing your truest self with the world or with another opens up the capacity for the deepest of connections. I believe it is the first step in your journey toward healing. I am passionate about supporting my clients in creating a life filled with the peace and joy they deserve.

 

Methods and Approaches

If we work together, I will walk alongside you in your journey to reach your goals. Using evidence-based approaches such as The Gottman Method, Systemic Family Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I will generate new solutions, utilize effective coping mechanisms, and discover more genuine ways for you to connect with others. Enough therapy lingo - what does this actually mean for YOU? This means that I use research-based methods and strategies to help you reach your true potential.

 

Together, we will work on creating goals and outline what it will take to get there. We will tackle negative thoughts and work on turning them into positive and productive ones. We will look at your overall health and well-being from a holistic point of view to make sure you are taking care of yourself. I know getting stuck in dysfunctional patterns can feel frustrating, but patterns can be changed and I have the tools to help you.

 

Education and Credentials

My education includes a masters from Colorado Christian University in Clinical Counseling- Family and Marriage Therapy. My licensure is known as a marriage and family therapy candidate. I focus my attention on helping my clients find deeper and healthier connections with themselves and their loved ones. I offer an empathetic and safe space that allows you to explore your thoughts and emotions. I work with families, individuals, and couples.
